HOME FELLOWSHIPS
In the New Testament, there are several references to small group meetings in the home (Acts 2:46-47; 5:42; 12:12; 17:5-7, 20; 18:2, 7; 20:17-20; 21: 10-15; Romans 16:3-5, 10-11, 14-15; 1 Corinthians 1:16; 16:15-16, 19; Philemon 1:2; Colossians 4:15). Home Fellowships do not replace the local church gathering together for corporate worship but are an extension of the ministry of the church body.
These small groups provide time to share God’s Word together, discuss its meaning and application, and develop biblical principles in our lives. Believers can fellowship in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere that fosters discipleship and servanthood, equipping each other to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Home Fellowships are open to any believer who desires to know God, grow in their faith in Jesus Christ, and develop personal Christian relationships. Each Home Fellowship may be a bit different in personality and format, but all include a time of worship, Bible Study, discussion, prayer, and refreshments. Most, but not all, provide childcare.
